What does it mean when I receive a call center lead with the following comment in Leads360:
Discount Offered: No Available Units. Waiting List Only
This means the call center handled a phone lead inquiry and the customer was interested in a size that is not currently available (zero available inventory) at this time. It's still a lead and you should treat it with priority because the potential customer NEEDS storage!
Remember, you know your available inventory better than anyone because you know the tenant's and your property!
A few items to consider before you make the initial confirmation call back to this lead...
- Check your Intended Move Out report or your move out notices to see if a unit will become available in the time frame requested by the tenant.
- If not, think about what you could offer the customer to accommodate their need. Multiple units to accommodate the need? Boxes to stack better? See if their date is flexible for move in to accommodate a known pending move out?
- Don't assume the call center lead represented the correct size; re-qualify the customer need during your confirmation call and see if you can "right size" them into an available unit.
Don't forget it's an active lead, not a dead or "hopeful" lead. Inventory changes daily so work the lead to make it happen!
