At conversion, Centershift 4.0 creates a new rental ledger for each tenant with the account balance(s). The tenant ledger information from Centershift 3.1 is not gone and is easily accessed. You will not be able to view tenant/account letters in CS40, but those letters still exist on the tenant account in CS31, which can be accessed for reporting and research needs.
