I was often annoyed when a pop up reminder would tell me to call a customer that has already rented their unit. There is a box "Dismiss upon status change" to check to avoid that from happening.
If you check that box, however, there might be a problem with "Lost Demand" status changes. Because Velocify only holds leads for a limited period, a lead may disappear before the customer actually needed the unit. You may lose the calendar event in Velocify. I set up advanced/repeat reservation reminders in Outlook.
